Vectorworks 2020 🎨

Vectorworks is a cutting-edge CAD/BIM software used in architecture, landscape, entertainment, and interior design industries. Each new release of Vectorworks includes industry-specific versions, each with its own customized hero imagery. During the 2020 launch design sprint, I was responsible for creating design treatments that embodied the slogan, "Clearly Insightful. Simply Powerful."

 

The solution we came up with involved visually analyzing the imagery in relation to the new software features. We used infographic stylization for the data panes to highlight the power and "big data" capabilities of the latest version of the software. This design approach aimed to showcase the software's capabilities in a clear and powerful way.

Vectorworks 2020 Launch T-Shirt

As part of the 2020 launch design sprint for Vectorworks, we not only created signature imagery but also developed and produced various print collateral, social ads, a landing page, and other promotional materials. My specific responsibility was to design a t-shirt to commemorate the launch of Vectorworks 2020. The design had to use the brand's color palette, visually depict the launch slogan, and match the overall aesthetic of the other materials. I presented three design options that fit the campaign's requirements, and the stakeholders chose one. I then facilitated the production of the t-shirts so they could be distributed globally.

Vectorworks Integrated Navigation

I concepted a menu navigation for a new combined user-hub and SSO account interface. The design involved optimizing the iconography and copy to improve users' recognition and interaction with each individual hub. The design was adaptable for desktop and mobile applications.

 

The objective was to develop a seamless and intuitive user interface that not only complemented the current aesthetic but also offered a more user-friendly approach. Users could choose their site language, add a profile picture, or change their current employer all within the account drop-down, providing a more personalized and intimate experience. The design aimed to revitalize the user experience and make it more user-friendly.

Design Summit 2020

Design Summit is an annual training conference that is available to Vectorworks users worldwide. The event is designed to bring together leaders from the architecture, landscape, and entertainment industries to learn, network, and celebrate with fellow users of all levels. During the design summit sprint, I worked on developing web and print promotional materials. These materials needed to follow the aesthetic of the event's landing page, so I translated some elements from the microsite into print format.

CoffeeBreak™ - A Mental Escape

Vectorworks, for the first time, created a promotional holiday game along with their annual holiday card to celebrate the creativity of their global users. I was responsible for designing and animating the main character for the frogger-esque arcade game, which was initially called "CoffeeBreak." This led to the creation of the coffee hero character. Additionally, I was involved in quality assurance discussions and testing with the Unity developer who was outsourced for the project.
